Detectives are investigating an armed robbery of a service station early this morning at Murrumba Downs.
Preliminary investigations indicate two men entered the business on Blythe Road shortly after 1am armed with a knife.
One of the men entered the counter area to access the till however was unable to obtain any cash.
Both men left the business on foot a short time later without any money.
No one was injured as a result of the robbery.
Investigations are continuing.

Superintendent David Tucker became a little lighter on Friday after saying goodbye to his hair as part of the World’s Greatest Shave, but not before trying out a new hairdo.
Superintendent Tucker took a walk on the bright side and gave a rainbow mohawk a trial run thanks to Mick from Stay Local Barbershop, who closed his shop doors to assist in the makeover.

Superintendent Tucker has raised more than $2,300 for the Leukaemia Foundation’s main fundraising event so far.
Part of his drive to fundraise included some friendly rivalry, who ever donated the most, got the honours of first shave. Congratulations to Justin Hayward.

Detectives investigating the serious assault of a man in his home at Kallangur on March 15 have charged three people.
It will be alleged two women knocked on the front door of the Duffield Road residence around 10.20am while the 64-year-old man was at home.
While he was speaking with the women it will be alleged two men forced their way inside at the back of the house.
One of the men allegedly tied the man to a chair with masking tape and rubbed glue on his eyes. The man was then allegedly struck on the head with a spanner.
The group then allegedly stole a number of items from the house before fleeing in the man’s vehicle, which was later located abandoned in Sylvan Court, Kallangur.
The man was transported to Redcliffe Hospital in a stable condition.

Police have charged a woman after she allegedly drove a car at two pedestrians in Zillmere yesterday afternoon.
At about 2pm a man and a woman where walking east on Zillmere Road.
A silver Mitsubishi Magna driven by a woman, was heading west on Zillmere Road. It is alleged the vehicle has slowed before turning toward the pedestrians and accelerating across the road, mounting the gutter and driving along the footpath at them.
The pedestrians have jumped out of the way to avoid been hit by the vehicle. It is further alleged the vehicle has then driven away and police have located the car and driver later at a Zillmere house.
No one was physically injured in the incident and the people are known to each other.
A 26-year-old Zillmere woman has been charged with two counts of attempted murder and is expected to appear at the Brisbane Magistrates Court tomorrow,

Wet conditions will be the biggest threat on Queensland roads as we launch our new road safety campaign to coincide with Easter school holidays.
The campaign, launched earlier today, is urging motorists to drive to conditions and check for road closures before leaving home.
Road Policing Command Assistant Commissioner Mike Keating said extra officers would target the Fatal Five over the school holiday period with a high visibility presence on the roads.
“There will be an increased police presence on the State’s major road networks over the next three weeks, with officers maintaining high visibility in order to discourage the contributing factors of road trauma,” Assistant Commissioner Keating said.
“The 2015 Easter holiday period was the worst year on record for fatalities on our roads. Then 2016 was the best year yet. We’re hoping to replicate the positive result this Easter and would encourage everyone to remain vigilant and make wise decisions on our roads.”

North Brisbane detectives continue to investigate the disappearance of 22-year-old Samuel Thompson.
A search warrant was executed overnight at an address in Albany Creek where a white Chrysler 300 was seized by police.
A crime scene was declared at a residence in Bald Hills yesterday and was guarded overnight. Detectives will examine the scene today.
A search of the landfill at Swanbank, conducted by police and SES members concluded on Wednesday March 29 with no result.
Police continue to appeal to the public for any information which may assist in the investigation.
