Back By Pup-ular Demand: The Doggo Day Markets Return to Virginia

Get ready for a tail-wagging good time, Virginia! The wildly popular Doggo Day Markets are making their pawsome return to VEND Marketplace in 2024. This pet-centric extravaganza is the ulti-mutt place for four-legged furry friends and their two-legged companions alike.

Back by popular demand, the Doggo Day Markets will once again take over the charming indoor-outdoor venue with a pack of pooch-oriented activities, vendors, and treats galore on Saturday, May 18.

The canine-themed festivities kick off at 9:00 a.m., allowing early birds to get first dibs on the incredible array of local dog businesses.

Vendors will be popping up throughout the marketplace’s outdoor areas, hawking an irresistible selection of gourmet treats, stylish accessories, smart toys, and more must-have items for our beloved barkers. You’d be barking mad to miss out on stocking up for your pup!

In addition to the open-air market, the day will feature a dressed-to-the-nines dog fashion show, giving dapper doggos a chance to strut their stuff on the runway. A panel of judges will award prizes in multiple categories, so start planning your pooch’s lewk now!

When your dog needs a break from all that glamorous posing, swing by the day’s signature photo booth to capture some memorable mutt-shots. This is the perfect opportunity to update that outdated pup pic on your holiday cards.

And no dog day would be complete without lapping up the chance for a good ol’ fashioned scrub-a-dub-dub! Stop by the on-site dog wash station to get your stinky pup freshened up and smelling like a million biscuits.

The fun doesn’t stop there, though! The indoor VEND Marketplace will remain open throughout the event, allowing humans to browse the impressive vendor lineup selling clothing, art, home goods, and more while their furry friends sniff around the pet-friendly premises. When you’ve worked up an appetite from all that shopping and pup-watching, take a load off at the venue’s cafe, which features a spacious outdoor patio for you and your cuddle buddy to nosh together.

Enjoy Two Days of Gluten Free Feast at VEND Market Place

Coeliacs and Gluten intolerant people, rejoice! Come to VEND Market Place for two days of delicious eats galore that’s guaranteed Gluten Free.

Head on out to VEND Market Place on Saturday 18th and Sunday 18th February 2023 from 8 am to 2 pm for a day when you don’t have to guess if that mouth-watering food is gluten-free or not.

Imagine an assortment of food trucks and food stalls where everything on offer is GLUTEN-FREE! You choose from an array of delicious food that you can eat on-site to gluten-free goodies you can take home with you.

Gluten is a kind of protein found in certain grains including wheat (including spelt), rye, barley and oats. A gluten-free diet helps people with celiac disease and gluten-intolerant people manage their symptoms.

So whether you are a coeliac, gluten intolerant or just love to eat anything gluten-free, this event is for you.

And don’t forget to explore the indoor marketplace too and see what the over than 130 small, local businesses inside could offer. There is also a shaded eating area with a kid’s playground.

There is plenty of onsite parking as well plus street parking on Yarraman Place with gate access straight to the venue.

For many couples, Valentine’s Day is a special reason to dress up and dine out so cafes and restaurants are usually packed with people on this popular occasion. But if you want to celebrate the day of love with your significant other differently, Vend Marketplace in Virginia has got a wonderful idea.

The shared retail space might be the last thing on your mind when thinking of a romantic date place. However, on Friday, the 14th of February 2020, Vend Marketplace will be transformed into an amorous and intimate site for lovers for its Picnic on the Lawn for Valentine’s Day.

Enjoy a dreamy night with your loved one amidst romantic fairly lights and a live acoustic band playing sentimental music. The voice of George Hodges will be soothing your night whilst you cuddle and whisper sweet nothings to each other.

Set down a picnic blanket by the lawn so you can comfortably sit down and enjoy a delicious charcuterie board with chocolate-dipped strawberries, along with wine or beer. To impress your date, you’re actually encouraged to decorate your own space on the lawn.

A pop-up bar will be nearby to serve sumptuous food — it’s a Picnic on the Lawn after all!

Meanwhile, you and your mate could also swing by inside the Vend Marketplace to browse for gifts from local vendors. This site has heaps of homewares, arts and crafts, and plants, among other interesting finds.

VEND Marketplace in Sandgate Road Stages One-Day Greenhouse Plant Sale

Plants transcend trends and offer heaps of benefits as a decorative item, an illness deterrent and mood enhancer, among other things. Here’s your chance to spruce up your garden or literally add life to your home. VEND Marketplace in Sandgate Road is staging a massive one-day Greenhouse Plant Sale on Saturday, the 25th of Jan 2020.

VEND Marketplace, the shared retail site for hundreds of small enterprises, opened its Greenhouse section in 2019. This paradise for plant lovers has a huge range of greenery, pots and other gardening stuff to make your green thumb tingle. For the forthcoming Greenhouse Plant Sale, many of these plants will be priced for $12 or less.

Doors to VEND Marketplace will open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and if you’re feeling a bit hungry whilst plant shopping, there’s a cafe nearby to grab some food, coffee, wine or beer.

For some added excitement, there will be hidden jungle animal images around the Greenhouse. If you spot one, you could actually take home a plant for FREE!
